Speaking of Oregon & Boatbuilders

Emily is sorting what must go and what must stay. Much will stay. The process could take all night.

While the packing and planning ensues, there’s not much to do but come up with ideas for my own next project. A cabin in the woods, designed and constructed by a boatbuider, hmmmm . . . :

Apparently, he started with a brass sink found at salvage, and imagined a whole house around it. The idea sort of took on a life of its own after that.

I can totally relate.

  1. That is so cool! Next year at MASCF you should talk to Scott Hershey, he was showing me pictures of an amazing tree house he’s building. You have a few trees out back don’t you?????

    1. Indeed we do! Got a nice place picked out for a combo treehouse cabin, right by a creek way back in the woods in Nelson County. Not too far from where you’ve been known to camp, actually. 😉

  2. Thanks for keeping me posted on the trip. It’s also good to know Emily has a co-pilot to help with the driving and accompany her on this adventure. Good luck & you are both in my thoughts/prayers.
